Men’s futsal event from next year

ISLAMABAD: The men’s inaugural National Futsal Championship and National Schools Football Championship will be launched next year.

Pakistan Football Federation (PFF)’s President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat announced the PFF Football Activity Calendar 2009 during the PFF Congress at Lahore’s FIFA Football House on Saturday.

Here are the salient features of the calendar: Domestic events — Third National U21 Football Championship (10-22 January). PFF U13 Youth Cup (10-25 January). 11th National U13 Festival of Football (28 January-8 February). District Club Championship (1 February-30 April). 19th National Challenge Cup (March-April). 1st National Futsal Championship (20-30 March). Provincial/Regional School Championship (March/October). PFF U16 Youth Cup (5-20 May). Pakistan Premier League to get 55th National Champion (April-September). 7th National U16 Football Championship (24 June-4 July). 20th National U19 Football Championship (16-25 July). Provincial/Regional Club Championship (July-November). PFF League (December).

International events — Four Nations Cup (February-March, Multan). Prime Minister Cup (March, Nepal). 3rd AFC Challenge Cup (April). 5th AFC President’s Cup (May). AFC U13 Football Festival (10-23 May). South Asian Cup (June, Chelsea England). 14th AFC U16 Championship (3-18 October). 37th AFC U19 Championship (10-22 November). 11th South Asian Games (December).
