Daily San Diego Soccer NewsSD Futsal's Blueprints for 2009By
Amberly Richardson Thursday, December 25, 2008San Diego Futsal had quite a year. It enjoyed its first-ever league, which was a smashing success, and the camps and clinics grow larger each year. Parents, players and coaches are ready to build on that success going forward. Here is how the Futsal community plans to be bigger and better in '09.
Scott Montgomery- Jorge Montgomery’s Dad“What I hope to accomplish in 2009 is for Jorge and the rest of the kids to continue to improve their skills with the ball and, most importantly, continue to grow in their love of the game. Jorge is always excited to come to Futsal and I want him to continue that passion.”
Dana Christensen- Player“Next year I would love to get a team together of Surf and players from my school and go to the Futsal Nationals and win. A few years ago we got second place, and as big as an accomplishment as that was, it was a letdown. I felt like we had gotten robbed and this year I would love to go and steal it back.”
Mario Mrakovic- Coach/FounderMrakovic has his blueprint all mapped out for 2009, which includes Sunday night clinics at Alliant University and Futsal and shooting practice at Hot Shotz Sports Center in Del Mar with sessions ranging from Tuesdays to Thursdays.
