Here we go! Tomorrow will begin the release of the UMBRO Futsal Awards 2008 - 9th Edition by Futsalplanet.com.

As happened for the year 2007 (click HERE to have a look) nine categories will characterize the UMBRO Futsal Awards event, starting tomorrow with the announce of the Best Woman Player Of the World prize.

Day by day, we will make you know the award category to be celebrated in the following day, until reaching the closing day (friday 13th) of the 2008 edition.

Our main goal is to come back to the 2004 edition format, with candidates list and worldwide voters involved in the Futsalplanet Awards happening, we're working on it. In order to do that, we need all your passion and collaboration, so that we can start as soon as possible. We still don't know if this will be possible since the 2009 edition, we'll keep you updated on the matter!

One more time, let's us remind that the Futsalplanet Awards event is to be intended just as a great party of futsal and not as something official. What we want to do, as everything done in this web site since its creation in 1997, is to "spread the word", is to highlight the real futsal characters rather than telling the endless tale of soccer stars who grew up playing futsal. Futsal belong to futsal people, and we work for them.
