What a disappointing news from the Netherlands. The current leader, as well as 07/08 title holder, of the Dutch Top Divisie
FCB/Blokgroep has announced their withdrawal from the competition due to the serious financial troubles determined by losing the main sponsor support. The sponsor decision went on January 1st 2009, so that the FCB win over FC Marlène will be the last match of their history in absence of radical changes. Some top players from the club have already found a new club in Belgium:
Omar Nejjari signed for
Baio Futsal Morlanwelz,
Appie Idlaasri is a new player of
LW United, while both
Joey Ngarigota and
Samir Makhoukhi will represent
Sahin Hasselt. A sad ending, if confirmed, for the club from Beverwijk, that just few months ago took part in the UEFA Futsal Cup and was supposed to get one more national title in this season.
