Albania will fly towards Birmingham in order to play a double friendly match vs England. The international challenge will take place on January 31st (kick off at 15.00) and February 1st (18.00). Due to this reason the current head coach Ramazan Konçi (who replaced Edi Martini since three months about) and his assistant Erind Resuli have selected 20 players to be evaluated before the UEFA European champs qualifiers for Hungary 2010, in which Albania will face the Paola's (Malta) preliminary mini-tournament vs the local selection of Michal Striz as well as Greece and Georgia. Also, we have to remind that this is not the first match vs England: on January 2004 Albania defeated the Graeme Dell's (now replaced by Pete Sturgess as known) side by 8-6 in Vlora (Albania), it was a preliminary round match of the Euro 2005 qualifiers.
