FAI Futsal Portal Deaf Futsal League Kicks Off! Friday, 30 January 2009The Deaf Futsal League commenced on Sunday 25th January 2009. The venue was organized by FAI Football Development Officer Jamie Wilson and was held at Trinity Comprehensive School, Ballymun. This is a pilot league under the newly formed Irish Deaf Futsal Federation (IDFF) who come under the auspices of the Irish Deaf Sports Association (IDSA).
Paul O’Callaghan (Futsal Manager) and his staff have set up this league to encourage deaf players to play Futsal in the hope that they can develop players to represent Ireland Deaf Futsal in both European and World Championships. Four teams were entered - St Vincents, Tallaght, Over 35’s and Kiss FC.
Saturday’s games were the first round of games with goals-a-plenty and the following results:
St. Vincents 8 - 4 Tallaght
Over 35’s 10 - 9 Kiss FC
The dates for the next stages of the Deaf Futsal League are:

Sunday 29th March 2009
Sunday 19th April 2009
Sunday 10th May 2009
Saturday 30 June 2009
