Malwee Futsal confirmed once again to be the undisputed queen of South American (or we'd better say American!) futsal, having no competition even by the strongest argentinian sides like Pinocho.
One or two reasons to regret, no moreIn an endless season, Malwee Futsal just fell down twice in important events: the Superliga semi-final losing to the tournament winner Ulbra/Suzano was the first, but that wasn't the main goal for the Ferretti's boys. The real, and probably unique, disappointment of the year 2008 went in April, when the Malwee's nightmare Interviu Fadesa conquered again the Intercontinental Cup overcoming the catarinense club. No doubts that this will be the 2009 dream for Lenisio, Falcão and the other stars of Malwee.
Shining September, Golden DecemberThree more titles characterized the second half of the year, giving Malwee a solid place in futsal history. In the early September, at the end of a tough final vs Ulbra/Suzano, Malwee celebrated the "TRI" (third title) in the prestigious
Liga Futsal. The apotheosis came in the final weeks of December, when Malwee closed an impressive season by taking the sixth title for both
Estadual league and
Taça Brasil: something not easy! And above all, something worth in order to be considered as the winner of the
Best Club of the World category of the
UMBRO Futsal Awards 2008 - 9th Edition by Futsalplanet.com!!
