Short note from Futsalplanet: after the past weeks report from Fiji (
click here to read it) it's definitely good to see that at least somebody is ready to fight for futsal. That's also the case of the Philippines National team girls, who left the team in order to complain vs the local FA which has dismissed the head coach of the squad. Just to remind you what this coach (
Emmanuel Batungbacal) did for his team,
click here. We're ready to host in our pages your complaints about lack of interest/work/efforts in futsal. It's important to remind that FIFA (and therefore all confederations and national associations) has taken futsal under its umbrella and declared to be committed to the sport. In few words this means that...
THEY MUST PROPERLY WORK for FUTSAL!. There is no reason to "survive" in a prestigious organization if that doesn't improve your "life". Don't you believe it?

Philippine Daily InquirerRP women’s futsal players quit en masseBy
Cedelf P. Tupas - Philippine Daily Inquirer
07/02/2009MANILA, Philippines. Saying they have lost confidence in the leadership of the Philippine Football Federation, members of the national women’s futsal team have quit from the squad in the wake of the removal of their head coach, Emmanuel Batungbacal.
The team decried the decision of PFF president Jose Mari Martinez to sack Batungbacal, who, despite budgetary constraints, steered the squad to a surprising bronze medal finish in the 2007 Thailand SEA Games.
Maria Aurora Tanjangco, a member of the team, said the decision to fire Batungbacal was “unfair and baseless.”
“We are resigning because our clamor for truth and justice was not heard,” team members said in a letter they were set to submit to Martinez.
Martinez fired Batungbacal on the recommendation of PFF futsal committee chair Esmaeil Sedigh, the Iranian coach of the men’s team.
Sedigh claimed that Batungbacal ignored protocol, disrespected authority, misrepresented the team, joined an unsanctioned event and was impossible to work with, among others.
But Tanjangco claimed Sedigh did not consult three other members of the futsal committee, including her, before making his recommendation.
Batungbacal has denied Sedigh’s allegations, pointing out that he has been transparent with all his actions to the PFF and futsal committees.
