Important news from Bulgaria, where the local futsal committee has appointed a new head coach for the national team, replacing
Angel Stankov. The new trainer is
Venelin "Venko" Ivanov, former player and coach and current technical director of the Bulgarian top club
MFC Piccadilly Varna. Ivanov was already working in the national team as assistant coach of Stankov.
The first challenges of the new coach went through two friendlies played vs Macedonia on past January 31st (0-3 defeat) and February 1st (1-1 tie) that took place in the bulgarian town Blagoevgrad.
In his debut on the national team bench
Ivanov selected the roster listed below. We have to remind that the first official task for Ivanov will be soon given by the UEFA European Champs Qualifiers: Bulgaria will host the preliminary round in the Varna's Palace of Culture and Sports, having Latvia, Armenia and Estonia as group contenders.
