St. Albert’s wins

KOCHI: Dijin V. Jacob scored twice as St. Albert’s School, Ernakulam, defeated Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir (Elamakkara) 3-0 and won the first RSC inter-school futsal tournament which concluded at the Regional Sports Centre ground, Kadavanthra, on Saturday evening.

Navaz scored the other goal. Dijin was named as the tournament’s best player while Elamakkara Bhavan’s Balu Menon (best defender) and Aravind (top scorer) bagged the other awards.

Zakir Hussain, the Ernakulam District Sports Council President, gave away the prizes. — Principal Correspondent
