Thai Son Nam takes national futsal title

Thai Son Nam won its second national futsal (indoor football) championship title in a row as it hammered Tan Phong Gia Lai 9-2 in the tournaments final on February 28.

With six victories, one draw and one defeat, the defending champions earned nineteen points after eight rounds of the competition to clinch the championship title and pocket VND20 million.

With six wins and two defeats, Hoang Thu Da Nang earned eighteen points to secure second-place with a prize of VND15 million with Dat Lanh coming third with a cash prize of VND10 million.

Dat Lanh’s Nguyen Duy Linh, Thai Son Bac’s goalkeeper Nguyen Van Huy and Hoang Thu Da Nang’s Huynh Van Phuc with 11 goals were awarded best player, best goalkeeper and top scorer prizes, each receiving a cash prize of VND2 million.

The fair-play award of VND2 million went to the V-Sport team.
