São Caetano/Corinthians/Unip defeats RCG/Garça and leads group A

The first big test for Flavinho and his São Caetano/Corinthians/Unip came in the night of past Tuesday (March 3rd), in the President Ciro II hall - eastern area of Sao Paulo, in a game vs RCG/Garça (is the absolute debut for the Tuca's squad in this tournament) valid for the Troféu Cidade de São Paulo group A (composed of São Caetano/Corinthians/Unip, A.A.B.B./Segasp/ADC Alcan, Araçariguama Reflet, S.E.RCG/Garça and Medicina USP/Vita).

Corinthians needed a victory in order to lead the way alone, and could get its goal. Simi opened the score (HAVE A LOOK HERE - VIDEO COURTESY ESPN) for the Parque São Jorge's club. Some minutes later, after a good action by Simi, Chico Paulista did the second.

In the second half both clubs were looking for more goals, but both goalkeepers showed great performances. São Caetano/Corinthians/Unip could anyway manage to score the third goal through Danilo Baron. According to the Corinthians goalie Juca, the game was extremely hard "We've met a very experienced team, but we're working since January to be ready for games like this. We're aware to count on a strong roster, we can go further".
