GREATER AKRON — Teams from Otto Orf and Chris Dore’s Cleveland Super F (futsal) League won their divisions in the 2009 Super F Champions Cup, held in Kansas last month.
The winning teams were made up of selected players from all Super F League teams and included U-9 boys, U-11 boys and U-13 girls. The league also entered a team in the U-11 girls division, which took third place, and the U-14 boys division.
The U-9 boys team, shown at right, from left, includes: (front row) Ian Quinn, Tommy Zacharysz, Isaih Parente; and (back row) Jordan Taylor, Alex Phillip, Matthew Trickett and Justin Chalfant.
The Cleveland Super F League is one of the newest Super F-affiliated futsal leagues and is directed by Orf, a former U.S. national futsal team member and Cleveland Crunch goalkeeper, and Dore, a former Cleveland Force player, according to Orf.
