TEMPO InteractiveJakarta to Host Asian Indoor Soccer TourneyTuesday, 07 April, 2009The National Futsal (Indoor Football) Board (BFN) is ready to hold the qualification round of the 2010 Asian Cup futsal championship in Jakarta in December. “We are ready to hold the qualification round of Asian Cup’s futsal,” said BFN deputy, Jerico Umbas, in an Antara report yesterday.
Jericho said he will meet with the All Indonesian Football Federation (PSSI) concerning BFN’s preparedness to host the event. He said there were some zonal changes for the 2010 Asian Cup’s futsal championship qualification. Indonesia will be in the Southeast Asia zone, which covers eight countries. So far, Indonesia is the only country that has proposed to host the event.
“We have the chance to go on to the finals,” Jericho said. Indonesia is currently in 11th position in Asia and 55th in the world.
