AFF Web SiteCHONBURI BOUNCE BACK; I AM SPORT ON A ROLLBANGKOK (2 April 2009) – On a day when former leaders Chonburi Bluewave bounced back from their weekend defeat to edge Rattana Bundit 7-3, new leaders I AM Sport continued on their winning form to score another win – this time with a clear 4-1 thrashing of Bangkok.
Chonburi, who slipped to a 6-4 defeat at the hands of TOT FC in their previous match, stepped up their game to take a 3-1 lead against Rattana at the half with goals from Panomkorn Saisorn in the second minute, Supawut Thueanklang in the third minute and Kritsada Wongkeaw in the 10th minute.
The only goal from Rattana Bundit in the first half came from Kitsanupong Yuchomwong in the 17th minute.
Twins Ekapan and Ekapong Suratsawang made all the difference after the break when they put Chonburi comfortably in front with two goals in the 26th and 36th minute.
Supawut Thueanklang then put the game beyond Rattana Bundit’s reach with two further goals in the 38th and 39th minute.
Rattana Bundit grabbed their two other goals through Terapong Boonrawd in the 30th minute and Marut Piakayklong a minute to the end.
In the meantime Bangkok found themselves at the wrong end of their tie against I AM Sport when the latter took a 1-0 lead at the half through Francisco Jackson’s eighth minute strike.
I AM Sport then scored the remainder of their goals in the second half from Tum Timmanon (22nd minute), Kitipol Ekjit (30th) and the second from Francisco deep in injury time.
Bangkok scored their consolation goal off Arif Ahama in the 37th minute.

AFF Web SitePANUWAT STEERS CHONBURI OVER I AM SPORTBANGKOK (7 April 2009) – Thai international Panuwat Janta steered his Chonburi Bluewave side to a crucial 2-1 win over I AM Sport in a top of the table clash to retake the leadership in the Thai Futsal League 2009 over the weekend.
Following a first-half deadlock, it was I AM Sport who first made the score sheet when Francisco Jackson found the back of the net in the 27th minute.
But two minutes later, Panuwat found the equaliser before grabbing the winner two minutes to the end to send Chonburi to the top of the standings as I AM Sport slipped to third.
TOT FC on the other hand, went on a rampage when they beat Rattana Bundit University 6-3 to strengthen their position on second.
The scorers for TOT were Aryanejad Mahmoud in the 18th minute, Sermphan Khumthinkeaw (19th), Wachara Lepaijit (28th), Natawut Kongnimit (37th and 39th) and Natapun Namboonmee (38th).
Royal Thai Navy improved to fourth at the table when they slammed Sripatum 10-3 as defending champions Port Authority of Thailand got the better of Bangkok Glass 4-2.
