Misai FC and CT Nur Ilam take top honours

THE fourth edition of the Milo Hidup Bola Futsal Carnival got off to a rousing start as Misai FC and CT Nur Ilam respectively clinched the Under-16 and Under-12 titles of the Selangor leg on Sunday.

A record 96 teams competed for honours in the Under-16 while 35 sides made up the Under-12 cast in a battle to qualify for the Grand Finals in July.

Misai FC beat Pemuda Selayang 3-0 in the Under-16 final while Years 93 FC and Court Soccer FC finished third and fourth respectively at the Sports Planet Futsal Complex in Subang Jaya.

In the Under-12 final, Nur Ilam had to overcome stiff resistance from Stylo Mylo before triumphing 1-0.

The top four teams from the Under-16 and top two from the Under-12 qualified for the Grand Finals.

The Under-16 grand champions will receive RM20,000 and Under-12 winners will earn RM10,000 in savings account vouchers.

The carnival will have 14 legs with the next at the Sports Planet in Kuching on Saturday. Entry fee is RM40 per team.

Milo Sports Marketing Manager Ng Ping Loong urged teams to register early.

"The response for the carnival is always overwhelming and teams have to register early," said Ping Loong.
