Wars denied double victory

WARS 15 FC were convincing winners of the Sarawak leg of the Milo Hidup Bola Futsal Carnival, whipping QHU Mick FC 4-0 in the Under-16 final at the Kuching Sports Planet on Saturday.

Wars were however denied a double by SK Pengkalan Lobang Mukah from Sibu as they proved better from the penalty spot after the Under-12 final ended goalless.

It was just reward for SK Pengkalan Lobang Mukah as their seven teams endured a seven-hour road journey to compete in the carnival.

They, along with the champions and runners-up from the Under-16, have qualified for the Grand Finals in July where savings account bank book vouchers of RM10,000 (Under-12) and RM20,000 (Under-16) will be at stake.

The next leg is at the D'Futsal Centre in Kangar on Saturday and teams have been urged to register early.
