It’s fun, it’s fast, it’s Futsal and the final match of the U15 Northamptonshire Futsal League did not disappoint at the weekend!
In a thrilling game, Northampton Futsal Club eventually emerged as 4–1 winners against a highly competitive Rushden & Higham team.
Despite trailing 1-0 for most of the hour-long match, Northampton scored a flurry of goals in the last ten minutes to snatch the league championship from Rushden, who had to settle for the runners-up spot.

Futsal is indoor five-a-side football played with a smaller, heavier, ball that encourages passing on the floor and control with the sole of the foot. Players such as Ronaldinho and Ronaldo attribute their magical skills to playing Futsal as youngsters. Over 170 countries, including England, now compete at senior international level.
