Feniks (Prizren) winner of the first championship in Kosovo futsal

The final round of the first ever Kosovan Futsal League finally found out and celebrated its deserved winner. In their last match against Blla Blla, club relegated in the first league, Feniks showed an impressive performance, overcoming the difficulty of match that meant everything to both sides. Drenasi slipped on their last round against the very motivated Vitia, though the match was not anymore important as 3 points obtained by Feniks were enough to solve the "league dilemma". In the lower zone of the standing, together with the previously mentioned Blla Blla clubs relegated in first league are Bunjamini and Kaltersia R. Shala, which are going to be replaced by first league winners Perlepnica, as well as RWE Bamboo and QR At L. Mazreku.

Regional competition is ongoing as well and it continues to be uncertain who will be joining the first league after the relegation of FC 038, Broja Market and Donja Bernica in the regional leagues.

On the 17th round, Perlepnica conceded their first and unique defeat to the very strong side (above all with refer to the league second leg) Graniti, though keep on beeing the team with the lowest amount of losses between both leagues.

Also, the Kosovan Super Cup was played on April 24th, 2009, in the city of Peja, between league champions Feniks and the Cup holders Space Club Peja. Feniks defeated Peja by 8-0, wining the second title in this inaugural season.
