Strong Vocal FC clinch Under-16 title

PAHANG-based Vocal FC showed they were as powerful as their name suggested by emerging champions of the Kuantan leg of the Milo Hidup Bola Futsal Carnival Under-16 category on Thursday.

Vocal FC beat Nobi Crew FC, also from Pahang, 3-1 in an exciting final.

Team Jiwa Kami Jiwa Bola (JKJB FC) emerged Under-12 champions by beating Kesura FC 1-0 in the final.

The top two Under-16 teams and the Under-12 champions have qualified for the Grand Finals on July 26.

The Grand Finals will feature 32 teams in the Under-16 and 16 teams in the Under-12 with the respective champions winning RM20,000 and RM10,000 in savings account vouchers.

Milo Sports Marketing manager Ng Ping Loong said the first four legs of the 14-leg event had seen fantastic response.

"We are extremely pleased as the event is meant to help develop futsal at the grassroots," said Ping Loong.

Such is the response that entries are already closed for the fifth leg in Kuala Terengganu this weekend.

The carnival will move to Kota Kinabalu on May 23 and teams are urged to register at the Suria Indoor Futsal Centre.
