The time has come for Guam to host the annual GFA Men's Futsal League. The competition is scheduled to start on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 in Astumbo Gym. Three matches will be played on Wednesday nights in Astumbo Gym and 6 matches on Sunday afternoons in Agat Gym, for 10 weeks.

There will be 12 teams participating this year:

1 -> Paintco Strykers
2 -> CarsPlus
3 -> Bank of Guam (BOG) Crushers
4 -> Guahan
5 -> Cobras
6 -> Guam Shipyard
7 -> Quality Distributor
8 -> Crushers F.C.
9 -> Inter F.C.
10 -> Community First
11 -> Rovers F.C.
12 -> Island Eye Center (IEC) Islanders

There will be QF, SF and Consolation/Championship playoff matches which should end on Sunday, August 9, 2009.

This will provide Guam's futsal and soccer fanatics with much-needed competitive activities during the upcoming Summer months. It will definitely attract a lot of college students who will be returning home to Guam for a long Summer holidays and vacation.

It will also be used as a venue for Guam Football Association to recruit Guam national futsal team players who will participate in the 2009 EAFF Futsal Championship in Beijing, China, in November 2009.
