CAF Executive Committee decisions, which include the choice of the country to host the next
African Futsal Championships edition scheduled to happen in the year 2010. After the 2008 tournament played in Libya, this time the African event will move to
Burkina Faso.

CAF ON LINEThe Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) headed by President Issa Hayatou met on Wednesday, May 6, in Cairo, Egypt. The following decisions were taken:
The Executive Committee approved a report presented by the Inter-Clubs Committee following its meeting earlier, and the draw procedure for the two competitions.
Progress report on CAF Licensing has been presented and the Executive Committee responded positively and encouraged the committee in charge to finalize the formalization process.
Progress report on the last Inspection visit in respect of Angola 2010 Africa Cup of Nations was presented by leader of the CAF delegation Mr. Mohamed Raouraoua.The Executive Committee is calling on the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the Angola 2010 Africa Cup of Nations to double their effort to meet up with deadlines set.
The fixtures for the January 10- 30, 2010 tournament have also been approved.
The Executive Committee also granted the hosting rights for the next edition of the CAF Futsal Championship to Burkina Faso in 2010. Libya hosted the last edition (4th edition) in 2008.The regional slots for the next edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN), billed for Sudan in 2011, have also been approved.

Mr Slim Aloulou has been co-opted , again, for the next four years as a member of the CAF Executive Committee. Mr. Aloulou’s term expired after in January 2009. He had served previously , as an elected member on the FIFA/CAF Executive committee member, from 1988 to 2004.
Progress report on the CAF Football Centre of Excellence in Cameroon, Senegal and Ethiopia has also been presented. All three centers have been fully completed.
The next Executive committee meeting to be held on 11-12 September in Cairo, Egypt.
