SMPIHM And SMB Inter-School Zone 2 Futsal Champions

Bandar Seri Begawan - Serasa Secondary School (SMPIHM) and Berakas Secondary School (SMB) emerged champions for Category B (under-15) and Category C (under-18) respectively in the Inter-School and Colleges (Zone 2) Futsal Tournament yesterday.

The tournament was organised by the Department of Co-Curriculum Education and hosted by Meragang Sixth Form Centre (PTEM) at the Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam Secondary School (SMJA) futsal field.
A total of 10 government and private schools and colleges took part in Category C while eight schools and colleges took part in Category B.

In the Category B final, Serasa Secondary School beat Lambak Secondary School in a penalty shootout after both teams were tied 5-5 at regulation time.

Mohd Amirulsyafiee bin Ibrahim was the hero for Berakas Secondary School when he scored the only and winning goal against Pehin Dato Seri Maharaja (PDSM) Mentiri Secondary School in the Category C final.

The guest-of-honour, Chong Li Chen, the acting principal of PTEM presented the prizes to the winners.

Ak Md Nizamuddin bin Pengiran Idris from Lambak Kid Secondary School was named the best player in Category B while in Category C, the best player was Muhd Hafiy bin Danan from Berakas Secondary School.

The winner and first runner-up from both categories will represent Zone 2 in the upcoming 5th Secondary Schools and Colleges Sport Festival.
