European Championship: Stage of the italian national team

Rome, 3/12/2003

On the 5th of january will start the count-down for the italian adventure in the European Championship in Caserta and Aversa (17-24/2/2003). The first of five work stages will start on this sunday at the Appia Park Hotel, at 18:30.

The italian national team's coach, Alessandro Nuccorini, has selected 16 players.

Massimo Quattrini (Furpile Prato)
Daverson Franzoi (Lazio)
Luca Ippoliti (Luca)
Vinicius Lona (Ecosaves Dayco Chieti)
Mendes Luciano (Sasol Augusta)
Alessio Musti (Lazio)

Forwards:
Adriano Foglia (Stabia)
Alfredo Lanza (Fas Pescara)

From 6th to 8th of january the "azzurri" will work in the Sport Centre of Ciampino. There will be made some athletics test, the same that were made before the friendly matches against Ukraine.

In this way the italian staff will have the chance to value the players form. This first stage of 2003 represents the last chance to value some historical players like Fradella and Quattrini, and to estimate the new ones like Moratelli, Lona,Tilico, Musti, Luciano, Morgado and Lanza.

In the afternoon of the 6th and 7th of January the italian team will do some tactical work and finally on the 8th of january there will be a friendly match against Torrino Roma SC (A2 division)
