Maybe, or we'd better say definitely, we're ingenuous futsal fans, but when
Brazil conquered the
2008 World Cup at the end of an unforgettable day for the canarinhos team, we thought that such a prestigious result was going to mean an endless (or at least very lasting) marriage between CBFS and Paulo Cesar De Oliveira, in futsal known as
PC.
We were wrong. As announced by PC himself to
Futsalplanet.com during the
3rd Dimitri Nicolaou's day and confirmed today by CBFS through a very short press release, the brazilian bench is now vacant. CBFS management will have almost immediately to replace PC in order to face the imminent tasks of the Brazilian national team, beginning with the Lusofonia Games 2009 in Lisbon.
As reported by CBFS, the local federation and PC didn't reach an agreement when trying to renew the former Playas De Castellon's coach contract, due to reasons related to the "way of working" and administratives as well. We have to remind that PC was sitting on the brazilian bench since June 2005.
