Shocking news from Cyprus - Ararat president Atamian resigns

The Futsal scene in the beautiful island of Cyprus was shaken as one of the most sucessful Club Presidents has resigned.

Through a very brief statement Dr Vik Atamian, Ararat president for the last 10 years, announced his decision to resigns from his charge due to personal reasons.

This announce came few days after Agbu Ararat's triumph in the National Cup (see our report, click here). Under Vik Atamian Ararat has conquered 11 titles between championship and cup tournaments, and represented Cypriot futsal six times in the prestigious UEFA Futsal Cup, one of the highest participations among european clubs.

The local portal cyprusfutsal.com has talked to Mr Atamian and his only words were expressed in order to wish Ararat all the best for the future. He wishes luck to his successor and promised not to dissapear from the Futsal scene.

Vik Atamian is considered as one of the pioneers for Cyprus Futsal and undoubtedly his absence will be notable for the Ararat people. His passion and determination will be always an example for all of us who like to think that sky is the limit!!!
