BFF to plan for 3-year calendar

Dhaka, June 9 (bdnews24.com) – The Bangladesh Football Federation is seriously thinking of a complete calendar up to the last date of the existing executive committee led by Kazi Salahuddin.

The BFF has already revealed a one-year calendar, which has 29 local and international meets for 2009 and is now looking forward to revealing the next three-year calendar in a bid to maintain the domestic as well as international meets on regular basis.

The BFF president told reporters on Tuesday that they were working on this and would make it public as soon as possible with the approval of the executive committee.

The Salahuddin-led committee took over on April 30, 2008 for a four- year term and have already completed major meets like B. League, Super Cup, Federation Cup, AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers, Futsal tournament, women's championship, school tournament etc.

Now events like the National Championship, BFF international tournament, Women's Super Cup, Women's Corporate League, Women's Divisional championship, Futsal tournament with first and second divisions as well as divisional teams are on the cards, according to the 2009 calendar.
