Pipoca, new coach of Brazil

It was quite expected and predictable, but now is also official. Marcos Aurelio Sorato Zapelini, in futsal universally known as Pipoca is the new head coach of Brazil. CBFS has just announced his appointment in a press release: the catarinense 38 years old coach will replace Paulo Cesar De Oliveira "PC".

After an impressive career as a player in Brazil and Spain, Pipoca worked as PC assistant since June 2005, so that in some way was the "easier" solution for CBFS. The rest of the technical staff in charge under PC won't change with the only "new entry" characterized by the arrival of Vander Iacovino (coach of Brazil in the Guatemala 2000 World Cup as you probably remember). He will work as Pipoca'assistant as well as becoming the new coach of Brazil Under 20 and Women National team (in one word, he will be the "new" Pipoca). The new staff first task will be characterized by the Grand Prix 2009 event.
