GUATEMALA NAMES ROSTER FOR TWO-GAME FUTSAL SERIES AGAINST SPAIN

Guatemala’s Futsal Technical Director Carlos Eduardo Estrada has named a 15-player roster that will travel to Spain for a pair of friendlies against the two-time world champion next week.

The roster includes 10 players from the CONCACAF championship squad last year as the Chapines will face the Spanish side on 14 June in Tomelloso and then two days later in Alcazar.

These are the first meetings between the two futsal sides, and is the first visit by a CONCACAF team to Spain since the USA in 2007.

After the two-game series against Spain, Guatemala is scheduled to compete in the 16-team tournament called Grand Prix de Futsal Brasil in Anapolis and Goiania from 28 June – 5 July.
