Vietnam pips Indonesia for first SEA futsal final berth

Vietnam on Friday defeated Indonesia 8-7 in the Southeast ast Asian Futsal (indoor football) semifinal in a shootout at HCMC Phu Tho Sports Complex to set up tomorrow’s final clash against Thailand.


This is the first time Vietnam has entered the finals of the regional futsal championship.

Vietnam took the lead in the final seconds of the first half, but the normal 40 minutes ended with scores level at 3 all.

The Vietnamese players, especially goalie Phuoc Anh, played superbly, scoring from the final kick and saving a shot from Indonesian goalkeeper Wicaksono.
