Orlando Duarte, national team head coach of Portugal, has announced the preliminary roster for the imminent futsal tournament included in the second edition of the Lusophone Games. As you maybe remember Portugal got the silver medal in the first ever edition in Macau, though not losing a single match. The 1-1 (Tiago for Brazil, Costinha's answer for Portugal) tie with Brazil was not enough to conquer the title (click here to know more), due to the best goal average obtained by the canarinhos, with special refer to the rain of goals got vs Timor Leste (77 brazilian goals vs 56 portuguese ones) and Macau (Brazil 27, Portugal 22). Lisbon 2009 will therefore represent a good chance for a sports revenge, though Duarte has called mainly on young players, without counting on the "big guns" of lusitan futsal.
