Genesis claim national place

EIGHT teams from across the south west competed in the Futsal FA Cup regional finals in Swindon, with Genesis crowned champions and progressing to the national finals after a 2-1 win over Chippenham after extra time.

Week three of the Futsal Women’s League saw Grecians just edge Swindon Futsal, 6-5. Sandra Higgins-Hughes (Grecians) and Emma Skinne (Swindon) scoring hat-tricks.

Two teams are making the early running in the North Wilts@Futsal youth league under 11 section, with both Shaw and Greyhound Pups on maximum points.

In the under 12 section, Wootton Bassett Spaniels and Chelworth Juniors have both won their opening two games, while Core Soccer B and Purton Reds top the under 13s section.
