GUATEMALA LOSES TO SPAIN IN FUTSAL MATCH

Guatemala’s Futsal Team suffered a 7:0 loss on Sunday (14 June) against to the host Spain in Tomelloso on Sunday (14 June) in the first of two friendlies.

This is the first shutout loss for the CONCACAF champion since it they competed in the 2007 Pan American Games.

Guatemala will now close out the two-game series against Spain on Tuesday (16 June) in Alcazar. After its encounter against Spain, the Chapines are scheduled to compete in the 16-team tournament called “Grand Prix de Futsal” tournament in Anapolis and Goiana, Brazil, from 28 June 28 to – 5 July 5.
