Full steam ahead for Ho Chi Minh

HO CHI MINH CITY: Ho Chi Minh Football Federation (HFF) is busy organising courses after the southern coastal city of Vietnam finalised its plan with AFC Vision Asia for 2009 in March.

HFF has already carried out an introductory referee and introductory coaching course and the latest one is the AFC Futsal Level 1 course that kicked off on Monday.

A total of 15 participants are attending the five-day course being conducted by AFC Futsal Instructor Tay Peng Kee of Singapore.

Project Ho Chi Minh City was initiated in July last year and a Planning Workshop was held in December, 2008.

It is one of three regions involved in the Vision Vietnam programme, along with Long An province and Hanoi.
