OFC FUTSAL Championship: Solomon Islands vs New Caledonia 8-3

The second match of the 2009 Oceania Football Confederation FUTSAL Championship between Solomon Islands and New Caledonia has commenced at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.

The Kurukuru's are been backed a big crowd gathered from the University of the South Pacific, Fiji Institute of Technology, Fiji School of Medicine and Fulton College while there is also some support on the stands for New Caledonia.

We are midway in the first spell and Solomon Islands is currently leading 2-1 with goals to Captain Elliot Ragomo and Jack Wetney for the Solos and Henry Drudri scoring one for New Caledonia.

Ragomo scored the quickest goal of the day after finding the net just three seconds after kickoff.

New Caledonia has scored two goals through Rodrique Poiwi and Ismael Tchovamili to lead Solomon Islands 3-2 at halftime.

The second spell has kicked off with Micah Lea'alafa scoring a double to put the Solomon Islands into the lead 4-3

Moffat Sik'wa'ae has increased Solos lead to 5-3 midway in the second spell.

James Egeta has also put his name on the scoreboard and increased the Kurukuru's lead to 6-3.

Jack Wetney and Ragomo have added two more goals to finish the match with a 8-3 scoreline in favor of the Solomon Islands.

Final score: Solomon Islands 8-3 New Caledonia.
