New Online Era

Australia’s leading provider of online competition management solutions, InteractSport, has entered a three-year agreement with Vikings Futsal, to utilise the sports management system ResultsVault Football.
Vikings Futsal manages centres and competitions across Australia and New Zealand, enjoying healthy participation with 35,000 currently enrolled to play across one hundred and sixty centres. InteractSport first worked with Vikings Futsal earlier in the year to help them manage the Pacific Regional Titles held in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast.

“We are delighted to have engaged InteractSport as our online service provider for the next three years, a commitment which we believe will assist in our vision to help promote and develop Futsal across Australia and New Zealand.” CEO, Vikings Futsal, Alistair Miller.

Opting for the dual solution of ResultsVault and SportzVault, Vikings Futsal will also be launching a re branded online identity in Australia and New Zealand through a powerful integration of competition management with an online digital platform, aiming to make Vikings Futsal a leader in the Australian sporting landscape.

A proven solution for a decade, ResultsVault continually works to develop an online product specific to each sport’s needs. Futsal managers will gain the capability to manage all aspects of their competitions in real-time, from fixtures and results, to coordinating registration payments from participants and scheduling referees to matches. Equipped with a computer with Internet access, administration of Futsal can be done effectively, anywhere.

ResultsVault is also utilised by many thousands of Australian sporting groups and overseas clubs involved in hockey, rugby, indoor sports, cricket and football. Nationally, Cricket Australia’s partnership with InteractSport through the MyCricket system has delivered similar services to all Australian clubs and associations within the Cricket Australia jurisdiction.

InteractSport will work closely with Vikings Futsal to deliver the first phase of its online solution in winter 2009, with the launch of a new national website to confirm this great new partnership.

Eureka Trust Vikings Futsal Cup

The 2009 edition will once again be played in Christchurch and feature teams from Australia and New Zealand. On the back of the success from last years event the Eureka Trust Vikings Futsal Cup will be played August 13th to 16th at Christchurch's QEII Park Stadium.

This event will showcase the best Senior Futsal talent in Australasia for men and Women. New Zealand, Queensland, West Australia, NSW, North Queensland and New Zealand Maori will contest the mens section while New Zealand, Queensland, NSW, North Queensland and Northern NSW will contest the womens section.

The tournament will kick off on Thursday Aug 13th with the New Zealand women and men playing from 6pm, and continue from 10am on Friday and Saturday with the finals being played from 2pm on Sunday Aug 16th.

Entry is free to the tournament and all are welcome to come along and enjoy the high quality Futsal. Further details about the event will be available on the Vikings Website www.nzfutsal.com over the coming weeks
