THE cast for the Milo Hidup Bola Junior Futsal Carnival Grand Finals has been settled with the completion of the Kuala Lumpur leg at the Sports Planet Centre last weekend.

Misai B FC emerged champions of the Under-16 category by beating Tanjung FC 2-1 in the final.

Both teams qualified for the Grand Finals, as did AJ All Stars FC and Akademi Zahadiah FC, who finished third and fourth respectively.

Wan Chai FC beat AAN FC 3-2 in the Under-12 final and both teams advanced to the Grand Finals.

The Grand FInals on July 26 will feature 32 teams in the Under-16 and 16 teams in the Under-12.

"The 14 legs were an amazing success and we are happy that teams have made the carnival such an important affair," said Milo sports marketing manager Ng Ping Loong.

"We are encouraged too that the Rakan Muda Department of the Sports Ministry and the Malaysian Schools Sports Council (MSSM) endorsed the event.

"MSSM has indicated that it will identify talents during the Grand Finals to develop a strong national schools futsal squad."

The Under-16 grand champions will win RM20,000 in savings account vouchers while the Under-12 winners will receive RM10,000.
