One more sanction for italian coaches involved in the national futsal committee technical staff. After the light statement which has punished the former "A" coach
Alessandro Nuccorini, an heavier sanction, though for different matters still to be confirmed, has shocked italian futsal, with regard to the current Under 21 head coach (and assistant coach of Roberto Menichelli in the "A" selection)
Paolo Minicucci. Everything happened at the end of the final match of an "over 40" tournament between rowers clubs (events still extremely popular in Rome) in which Minicucci emerged as best player of the competition. That game ended after the penalty series with the defeat of
Canottieri Lazio (Minicucci's team) in favour of their rivals
Canottieri Aniene. According to what was written in the referee's report, denied by the supposed guilty, Minicucci had an offensive and threatening behaviour towards the match's whistle, and then hit him with his head. In declarations to the italian portal
Calcio a 5 Anteprima Minicucci claimed his absolute innocence with regard to the charges reported by the final match referee, and showed himself quite confident on the chance to delete the sanction also thanks to the television images taken from the recording of the game. The second sentence on this case should come at the beginning of September. Below have a look at the referee report (italian text).
NON ESPULSI DAL CAMPOSqualifica fino al
31/12/2012 MINICUCCI PAOLO (CIRCOLO CANOTTIERI LAZIO)
