San Diego Sockers go head to head with the All-Star North County Futsal League

San Diego, CA - Two of San Diego's champion indoor soccer teams are about to go head to head: the San Diego Sockers, San Diego's only professional indoor soccer team, and the North County Futsal League, a seven time U.S. Futsal National title holder, will play on August 15th in San Diego.

The practice game, to be played at the Encinitas YMCA (200 Saxony Road, Encinitas) at 7pm, is meant to showcase both teams' presence in San Diego and is free to attend.

"We're showing San Diego that the Sockers are back and ready for another championship in the new Del Mar Arena," said Phil Salvagio, head coach of the San Diego Sockers.

The San Diego Sockers season with the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL-Pro) kicks off November 7th with a home game. Season tickets are currently on sale at the San Diego Sockers website: www.sdsockers.com

The San Diego Sockers play on an indoor rink with Astroturf while Futsal is played on an indoor basketball court with no boards.
