UEFA.comLeotar and Nikars set up showdownTuesday 18 August 2009FK Nikars Riga will meet KMF Leotar Trebinje in the sides' final UEFA Futsal Cup Preliminary round group game to decide who will progress after both teams opened their campaigns with two wins.
Leotar strengthBosnian representatives Leotar have yet to concede a goal in Group C. They started their bid to reach the Main round on Monday, seeing off German outfit Futsal Panthers Köln 6-0 with Sinisa Mulina and Miljan Vico both striking twice. Vico then added three more the following day as Estonian side Sillamäe JK were brushed aside 11-0. Leotar play Nikars on Thursday and will head into the decider as favourites after the Latvian team also beat Sillamäe and Panthers Köln, but far less convincingly, winning by two and four goals respectively.
Nidaros debut campaignTwo more unbeaten sides will also go head-to-head for a Main round spot in Group B. AC Omonia have won both their games and while RCS Košice have two fewer points after following a win with a draw, they can pip the Cypriot side to first place with a win in their decider, also on Thursday. Norway's first UEFA Futsal Cup entrants Nidaros Futsal gave both sides a close run for their money with Košice needing goals in the final quarter from Antonio Hernandez and Peter Grutka to run out 4-2 winners. Omonia had beaten FC Seefeld Zürich 10-3 on Monday, but found Nidaros harder work as they fell 4-2 behind only for the Norwegian side to concede three late goals. In Tuesday's other game in the section, Seefeld came from two goals down to take a point from Košice.
