Golden FT host Uefa Futsal Cup preliminary round group D in Espoo, Finland, this week.

Preparation for the tournament has gone well. GFT president Fernando Francisco and his organizing committee have been working hard for the last couple of months. He believes the games will be a success and hopes that all visitors will enjoy their stay in Finland both on and off the pitch.

“It looks like all is ready for us to welcome the visiting teams.” he said. “It’s a privilege to work with such a motivated group of people”.

Golden will face Scottish champions Fair City Santos in the tournaments opening fixture.

Golden star player and Finnish national Panu Autio is thrilled about the upcoming event.

“It’s been a long summer waiting for this tournament. For me it’s a great honor to play European matches in front of a home crowd here in Espoo”, Autio says.

Golden hope to give people their money’s worth of futsal-action.

“It’s a Golden trademark. We always try to be entertaining”, Autio says.

Golden coach Teemu Eskola, who has been in charge of the Espoo based club since June, is very excited.

“It’s a great thing for Finnish futsal to have this event in Espoo.” he says. “We want to qualify, that’s our first goal and we’ve been working hard to achieve it”, he added.
