EVERYONE came out a winner when the 2009 Football NSW Futsal State Schools Championships were held at Penrith Sports Stadium last week.

Successful teams were: Kings Park Public School (under-12 boys), Sule College (under-14 boys), Illawarra Sports (under-14 girls), Green Valley Public School (under-12 girls), Clovelly Public School (under-10 girls), Balgownie Public School (under-10 boys), Endeavour Sports (under-16 boys) and Pymble Ladies College (under-16 girls).

According to the organisers the winners were also the competitors from the 180 teams from various schools, including Nepean Christian School, Claremont College, McCarthy College and Kingswood High School, who played in a friendly and competitive nature across the four days.

The winners were also the athletes with a disability who took part in a competition last Friday including teams from Nepean, Glenmore Park and Kingswood High Schools.

``It was a great tournament and congratulations to all the winners,'' NSW Futsal manager Damian Briggs said.

``It is great to put smiles on children's faces and to see students active.''

Winners will now progress to the Futsal National Schools Championships later in the year.

The under-19 boys and girls school's competition will be held at Penrith Sports Stadium on September 7.
