As reported by the argentinean portal
Pasion Futsal, the
Chilean FA recently confirmed that both clubs (names to be confirmed yet) from the South American country will take part in the next
Conmebol Futsal Cup 2009 - South Zone scheduled to take place in October (2-9) in the argentinean city
Misiones. As known no chilean representative took part in the past edition South Zone in Brazil. It was also reported that the tournament organizers tried to invite a participant club from
CONCACAF (with refer to Guatemala, probably Glucosoral?), as well as
Boca Juniors in order to get a better promotion of the event.
Cortiana/UCS/AFF will replace Ulbra as second
canarinhos' club to join Malwee in the competition. As by today, these are the clubs taking part in the Misiones' challenge:
Pinocho (Argentina)
Filial River de Tierra del Fuego (Argentina)
Malwee Futsal (Brazil)
Cortiana/UCS/AFF (Brazil)
Pablo Rojas (Paraguay)
San Alfonso (Paraguay)
Nacional (Uruguay)
Old Christians (Uruguay)
Club 1 tbc (Chile)
Club 2 tbc (Chile)
