Middlesbrough Futsal Club
Boro vs. FC Barsa Leeds

Thornaby Pavilion plays host to Middlesbrough in their final League game of 2009 as they welcome FC Barsa Leeds on Sunday 13th September. Kick off is at 13.15 and entry is free – an initiative Boro announced after they secured qualification for the end of season playoffs.

Middlesbrough could wrap up the FA Futsal League North title with a win over Leeds, if Loughborough fail to beat Sheffield in Sheffield. Boro are currently two points clear of FA Futsal Cup finalists Loughborough and the two meet on 27th September in what could be an intense title decider.

Boro are guaranteed a place in the playoffs, where they will meet the top two teams from the Midlands and South for a shot at the English title, but first place in the league is the impending priority.

“We’ve come so far already but after securing qualification to the playoffs, the next aim is to win the Northern league. Three points is a must against Leeds and it could even be enough to secure the title with a game to spare. It would be a great confidence booster going into the playoffs where we think we can be strong contenders.”

So, if you’ve yet to see Boro Futsal in action, now is the perfect chance to see one of the top futsal teams in the country in action. Entry is free and doors open at 12 noon at Thornaby Pavilion.
