DNA Futsal enters final phase

Mumbai: It was a day when executives from well known companies shed their formal shirts and suffocating ties to pick up their football jerseys at the DNA Mumbai Corporate Futsal Cup 2009 at the MCA tennis courts in the Bandra Kurla Complex on Saturday.

The tournament kicked off amidst much pomp with cheerleaders, and live DJ. The tournament featured five-a-side games. Of the 48 participating teams from corporate houses like ITC group of Hotels, Kotak Securities, Weatherford, Fidelity Information Services, BBC and Cox and Kings, only fifteen made it to the final round, which has been divided into three divisions.

Five teams of three plates will slog it out for the 'Title of Titans', 'Title of Warriors' and 'Title of Knights' from Sunday morning. Godrej and Boyce, Turner International, Deloitte Consulting, HDFC Bank and MCA will fight it out to grab the 'Title of Titans'.

'Title of Warriors' will see Roth's Child, DNA, Intelenet, Kotak Securities and MCA-2 fighting it out till the end. For the 'Title of Knights' Weatherford, Fidelity Information Services, Cox and Kings, MCA - 3 and Accenture will put their best foot forward.

There will be an exhibition game, featuring some Bollywood actors like Sonu Sood and Sammir Dattani. Importantly, the event has taken the initiative to provide top-notch facilities to all its participants.
