One more season for the european ambitions of
Kairat Almaty. The kazak side has dominated the recent history of national futsal and, since some seasons, is looking for the continental glory to be achieved through the UEFA Futsal Cup challenge. After the satisfactory bronze medal got during the past final four, the
Banana's players will try their best in order to write an historical page for local futsal. The pre-season period will soon include an interesting international friendly match with
Iranian champions of
Foolad Mahan Esfahan to take place in the persian country on next September 12th and 13th.
Three new faces will characterize the red and black roster: the former Charleroi Action 21, Dinamo Moscow and Norilsky Nickel
Kelson, joined by his brazilian compatriots
Katata (former F&G San Giorgio in the italian A2 division, group A) and the goalkeeper
Marciano Bortolotto, who spent the past season in the spanish division de honor with Fisiomedia Manacor and count on previous experiences in Spain and Italy. A local signing will complete the Kairat squad for the next season: the national team captain
Dima Suleimenov, best player from the past season in Kazakhstan.
Former goalkeeper
Gustavo (moving to russian side Sibiryak),
Cacau (in Czech Republic with Era-Pack Chrudim),
Rafael (back to Brazil) and
Messias (new player of Reale Cartagena in the spanish Division de Honor) have left the club, as well as kazak athletes
Denis Samokhvalov and
Alexandr Terentyev: contract expired for both of them.
