NAFC, DUHS enter AKU Futsal semis

KARACHI: National Athletic Football Club (NAFC) and Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) cruised into the last-four stage of 6th AKU Ramadan Futsal Tournament after winning thier respective quarter-final matches here Tuesday at AKU Sports Centre.

NAFC recorded a one-sided 7-2 win over hosts Aga Khan University 'A' in the quarterfinal encounter. Hashmatullah played pivotal role in NAFC triumph scoring three goals. Mehmood Raza and Jamaluddin scored two goals each for the winning team. Waleed Zahid scored both the goals for AKU.

NAFC will now take on Karachi Spurs Football Club (KSFC) in the semifinal match on Thursday.

Meanwhile, DUHS overpowered Youth Society of Pakistan (YSP) registering a 6-1 win in the last-eight match. Mohammad Adeeb scored three goals while Saad Hassan, Adeel Guness and Abdul Jalil scored one goal apiece for the winning side. Wahaj Siddique scored the consolatory goal for the losing side. DUHS now faces Rebellions Football Club (RFC) for a place in the final.
