Super F League to feature 5x5 soccer

TRAVERSE CITY -- The Super F League will be adding a new soccer league in Traverse City.

Grand Traverse Futsal will begin operations, with league director Erin Rea planning on a winter league beginning in November.

Futsal is a small sided game (5-on-5) played on a smaller field (roughly basketball court sized) with a smaller (size 3-4) ball. Futsal is played with touchline boundaries.

Registration will begin early this fall. Tentative dates for the first session are Nov. 6 to Dec. 21.
