Bath's New Signing Will Prove To Be A Big Hit This SeasonTeam Bath Futsal Club are happy to announce that Brendan Dix, former T.N.S Goal Keeper has signed for the English National League Club.
Dix, currently the number 1 Goal Keeper in the England Partially Sighted Futsal Team will pair up with Lee Jones, a recent addition to the England squad and Portuguese starlet Jose Lima as the 3 Goal Keepers for Bath this year.
Dix commented on his move by saying: "I am very pleased to have joined Team Bath Futsal Club for the up and coming season, the club has a fantastic set up with very good players and a great player/coach in Sion Kitson. The club is definitely going places and will be a real force this season and that's something I definitely want to be part of"
Dix, has plenty of Futsal experience having been to 2 International Competitions with the England Partially sighted team as well as 2 full seasons of National League Futsal with T.N.S.
"Futsal is very contagious, I started out playing just for a bit of fun and was more concerned about playing a decent standard of Football than Futsal but over time my mind-set has changed and Futsal is something I really want to progress with and Team Bath can offer me that" said Dix.
With this new addition and two more new signings likely to happen in the next couple of weeks TeamBath are keen to move on this year and try to challenge for silverware in the game.
Dix commented on the progress of the southwest club stating: "Futsal really seems to be taking off in the UK and the potential opportunities available are fantastic - Over the last couple of seasons Team Bath Futsal Club has been very pro-active in trying to promote and develop Futsal and with National Futsal League Fixtures now being played on a home/away basis rather than at a central venue I can only see the game going from strength to strength"
Dix will play his first non-competitive game for TeamBath on Sunday October 18th when they travel to National League and University rivals Loughborough in a friendly. Head Coach Sion Kitson said; 'We are delighted to have signed Brendan, he is a top class Futsal Goal Keeper that will add vital experience and a professional attitude to a team that is young in years. I look forward to working with him this season so I can help him reach his potentail and he can help the team reach there's. He will complete a very strong Goal Keeping line up for the club this year.'
