Uzbekistan to host international futsal tournament Friendship Cup

International futsal tournament will be held in Tashkent, capital city of Uzbekistan, on 4-6 October 2009. It is expected that four teams will participate at the event.

Along with hosts Uzbekistan, the tournament will be attended by national teams of Iran and Kyrgyzstan, as well as Kazakh club Kairat Almaty, which is one of the leaders of European futsal.

Representative of the Uzbekistan Futsal Association said that the tournament will be serious test for Uzbekistan team, which will participate in Asian Indoor Games.

The 2009 Asian Indoor Games will be held in Vietnam on 30 October - 08 November 2009. It will be the third and the last annual Asian Indoor Games event before merging with Asian Martial Arts Games.
